{ A Good Start }

This is Nolan...Nolan and his parents! We met up to do a few family pictures. Things didn't go as smoothly as we were hoping they would go ;) Nolan woke up quite a bit earlier than usual and was having kind of a rough morning. He really didn't want much to do with me and my camera, I'm sure it didn't help that it was pretty chilly out there! But I did sneak this cute shot of him...

No worries though, we are going to reschedule and finish up another day. So check back for more of this cute little family!

Adventures at the Train Depot...

Here is a little sneak peek for you Molly! We ventured out to the train depot this weekend...along with A LOT of other photographers ;) But this little cutie was such a trooper in the cold and wind. I think it paid off though!

There are so many cute ones, I may have to share a few more when I get them edited!

Family of Six

Dana and I met while I was still living in Michigan and she was living in Idaho. We met totally by coincidence, but ended up finding out that we went to the same high school a few years apart and that we both grew up in the same little town. What are the odds?

Well, we happened to both be members of the same online photography forum, and ran into each other there. Now that I have moved to Idaho - we live about 15 minutes apart. So we decided to do a trade off, I take her family pictures and she takes mine. What a great idea! These are a few that I have edited so far:
Aren't her little blonde kiddos so cute? There were so well behaved too, they were all pretty willing to go along with any of our ideas :)

Sorry for making you wait for these Dana! I'm pretty sure there is at least one that will be Christmas card worthy ;)

FINALLY!

This cute family has been patiently waiting (or possibly not so patiently waiting) for these pictures to be edited. I took their family pictures a couple of days before we left Michigan. I was unable to work on them because we left the computer in Michigan with Andy. So I FINALLY finished them because I FINALLY got my computer back and we FINALLY got our internet up and running! YAY!!

Their mother, a very talented seamstress, made these cute capes. They are perfect for doing "tripple whips", running, and of course for spinning!

I do have to mention that Mellissa also made her dress, with no pattern!
People like her amaze me!

I really had so much fun this day. There was a lot of work that went into the day, but not by me. Mellissa was sewing and planning and packing and praying for good weather long before we actually started taking pictures. I'm glad that it all worked out and that the weather was so cooperative! Michigan weather can be SO unpredictable and it nearly foiled all of our plans. We were way too determined to let a little rain stop us though :)

I hope you like them!

An Evening in the Wetlands...

These guys had this great little wetland area right near their house, right in the middle of the city, it was great. Lillypads as far as they eye could see, (well pretty close anyway) it was a perfect place to take a few pictures. I just wanted to share a couple of my favorites!

They are soon to be a family of FOUR! Exciting!!

This little one wasn't too fond of my camera, she was way too busy exploring. When you are this cute though, it doesn't take much to get a good picture!

Thanks guys, it was a fun evening!
