Curls

In honor of Shay's birthday today we put curlers in the girls hair last night. They kept them in all night, and it turned out so cute! Of course, we documented the occasion with a few pictures ;)

The birthday girl...finally 3 years old!
The big sister...
These 2 lately have been such good little friends, it is the sweetest thing to see :)

So Sweet...

Last week I got an e-mail asking about taking some newborn pictures from someone that I don't know! She said she had seen my blog - I really didn't know anyone other than family and friends looked at my blog ;) I have really only taken pictures for family and friends, and friends of family and friends so far...I guess I am branching out. Exciting!!

Anyway, on to more important matters:

Meet Cole...

He was born on Christmas Day - what a great Christmas present :)
He's 5 weeks old and was as sweet as can be. All it took was a bottle and a diaper change

(or two - haha)

and he went right to sleep.
I discovered that I didn't have too many little boy props for pictures.
I need to start adding some blue and green things to my collection!

This next one is one of my very favorites!
So sweet and peaceful...
Have a fun time on your trip! Hope you enjoyed you sneak peek :)

3 Months Already

We are headed out of town for the weekend, but I wanted to get these up!

If you remember Keni (I did her newborn pictures), well she is now already 3 months old. She was so content and happy the whole time we were taking pictures. I think she just might be spoiling her mom and dad ;)

I have been eyeing this cute blanket every week at church and was so glad they brought it!
It took a little bit to get her smiling, but it was worth it!
Andy, just made me a backdrop stand this week. So we tried it out today and it worked like a charm.

This is my favorite picture from the session...so far!
Totally worth having to move the couch and make a mad dash to the vaccumn so that
Kelsie and Joe wouldn't see all the scary things lurking behind my couch!
Darling baby...cute pictures...the end!

Doll Houses

My cousin is having a contest on her blog. A Show and Tell of something that you have made for the holidays. Check it out here if you are interested! The winner gets a gift certificate for some fabric...I am always looking for ways to increase my fabric stash:)

(My personal family blog is private, so I am posting these here!)

A while back a friend of mine sent me a link to a tutorial for these cute little doll houses. Luckily for me I happen to know two little girls who are going love these! I'm pretty sure that I had as much fun making these as they are going to have playing with them. I will definitely be making more of these in the future - with a little wonder - under and some creativity the possibilities are endless!

Here is the link to the tutorial so that you can give it a try...you know you want to!

Everything at our house has to be pretty similar so that it doesn't cause too much contention ;) But these are going to be gifts for my two little yahoos for Christmas.
I found the cutest little Strawberry Shortcake Doll sets to go with them. They come with a tiny little dolly that will be the perfect size for the house, and a little closet for the clothes she comes with. So CUTE!
I think that they are going to be a hit!

Nativity Advent Calendar

I saw the pattern for this advent calendar a few years ago. I had searched all over for a pattern for a nativity advent...there aren't a lot out there. Growing up we had an advent calendar that we would race each morning to be the one that was able to put the new piece up for the day. Now that my girls are old enough to really get into it I wanted to have one at our house. The pattern that I used for all of the pieces is from Art To Heart.
Then I wanted to change up the manger and background a little bit so we made up this pattern. I love the way that it turned out. It was A LOT of work and time, but it will be a fun addition to Christmas at our house every year!

My Little Family...

My photographer friend Dana was so kind to meet up with us on a FREEZING cold day last week to do some quick family pictures. Hopefully she didn't end up with frost bite on her fingers :) I hurried and edited some of them so I could send out our Christmas card...yes, I am a procrastinator. Anyway, here are a few of my favorites.
I think Dana did a great job...you can check out her blog here:
